Are you guys ready for perfection overload in one post?
MFW was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Seriously, it was amazing.
Ah. How refreshing it was to see all those new designs and styles on the runways. Candy to my eyes. Of course there were many looks I didn’t relate to but I definitely enjoyed the majority!
Let me share with you some of my favourite (and least favourite) moments from the MFW:
1. Tommy Hilfiger – I am absolutely and utterly IN LOVE with this show. I was like “WOAH!” the ENTIRE show! I loved everything about it! The fact that they turned the entire runway into a racetrack, their choice of music which gave me chills the entire time the models walked on the runway. Gigi was absolutely staggering! She is a queen *full stop*. I loved the look on her face, I loved how in love she looked with the clothes she was wearing, her make up, everything was incredible. I found the collection young, refreshing, clean and I actually liked almost ALL of the looks! Here are my favourites:
2. Dolce & Gabbana – So many things I was OBSESSED with about this show! I loved how colourful this collection was, it felt like fruity ice cream during summer in the Middle East. I just loved it and would totally wear almost every single one of the outfits!! The drones were super super super cool!! It was incredibly original and a great way of combining technology and fashion, I absolutely loved it!
3. Versace – Super chic collection! The combination of casual and elegance was totally my taste. I totally LOVED the designs. Everything was PERFECT.
4. Chanel Joan Elkayan – I must admit I’m a little shocked! This 20-Year-old Wonder Woman held an entire fashion show in MFW with a collection rich in elegance and sophistication! I think that she managed to produce a collection that can be elegant but also suited for young women and not only older women. I think that due to her young age she can relate to young women and know how to combine elegance with modern and up to date fashion! Here are some of the looks I loved most:
5. Missioni – watching this show warmed my heart (literally)! It was so heartwarming seeing the caribbean like colours knitwear. It was super colourful, just the way I like! Even though the collection is very colourful and a little loose and “baggy” like, it is incredibly chic! I can totally wear the outfits with sneakers or on the contrary with high heels and it’ll look absolutely perfect! Love love loved it! Bravo! (And as usual, Gigi killed it. Can’t miss her out – ever)
Here are some of the outfits I didn’t like:
1. MaxMara – I found the clothes a little too too outdated for my taste and targeting mostly older people, too much grey leopard patterns over more grey leopard patterns, too dark and too grey for my taste. I know the message at MaxMara was that “classic doesn’t have to be conservative” but I think that the looks were very conservative and not so very classic. However, classic and conservative can go together, but I didn’t really find that at the show.
2. Gucci – I liked the combination of modern and the 80’s, how an 80s suiting was monogrammed with the New York Yankees logo but somehow, surprisingly, I didn’t really relate to this collection.
3. Marni – I didn’t connect with the colours at this show at all. I felt like the designs weren’t me, I didn’t understand the message of this show, it just wasn’t really my taste
Let me know what you think! What outfit did you like most? What did you like least?
